Northfield Ambulance Volunteers Inc & Waterbury Ambulance Service Proudly Presents the 7th ANNUAL PODWAITE MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT!
The 18 hole Shotgun Start Scramble Team Tournament will be held Sunday, September 17th, 2023. 9am start time.
Registration desk opens at 8:00am and includes a golf cart, greens fees, chicken dinner and awards after the completion of the tournament.
There will be both Mulligans and 50/50 available for purchase at the tournament.
Prizes will be awarded to the following teams: 1st, 2nd, 3rd places, as well as the Sportsmanship Award (last place), & hole- in-one prizes to include a NEW MOTORCYCLE from Wilkins Harley Davidson and the much coveted Public Safety Award given to the highest finishing team representing a Public Safety Organization.
Tournament Style
Shotgun Start
A shotgun start in golf is a golf tournament starting format that sends each participating group to specific unique starting holes or positions. The shotgun start is named after the idea of firing a shotgun into the air to indicate the start time for all players. It signifies to the groups to tee off their specified holes at the same time.
Hole-In-One
If a Golfer makes a hole-in-one at a specified hole, they will win a
NEW MOTORCYCLE, the 2023 HD Nightster Special from Wilkins Harley Davidson
Mulligans
A Mulligan is a "do-over" for a golfer. Hit a bad shot; use a mulligan to take the shot over.
Mulligans will be available for purchase at the tournament.
Public Safety Award
Be the pride of your Public Safety Agency and show hold that trophy proud at your Station. The Public Safety Award goes to the highest finishing team representing a Public Service Agency. Fire, EMS and Police are all invited, THE MAJORITY of your team must be First Responders/Police… no stacking your team with one EMT and three pro golfers.
